We're proud to announce Evelien Vanderstraeten has joined our amazing catalogue of artists...

Evelien Vanderstraeten (°1988, Halle) studies photography at the Academy for Visual Arts in Anderlecht, Brussels. Her work focuses primarily on the public space that surrounds us, as well as its inherent emptiness. Every image is carefully constructed, seemingly innocuous details often become key elements of each composition. Minimalism sets the tone and in many of her images a human presence clearly lingers somewhere in the background, though rarely shown explicitly. While architectural photography is her main focus, the same realistic approach can be found in her landscape-, travel- and still life-photography.

Evelien is a commended photographer at the Sony World Photography Awards 2017 in the category “Still Life”. Past exhibitions include TWENS Leuven, Fotofestival Overpelt, Fotocafé Kortrijk, Heart for Life Antwerpen, Fotonale Brugge, Shoot for Good Brussels and others. Her work has been published in Shoot Magazine (BE), NOICE Magazine (US) and on various websites such as www.joker.be (travel), www.floatmagazine.us and the independent platform Minimal Zine.

We're proud to announce Vivi Pham has joined our amazing catalogue of artists...

"Of all the means of expression, photography is the only one that fixes forever the precise and transitory instant. We photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished, there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again." (Henri Cartier-Bresson, 1952).

With Vietnamese origins, Vivi is Belgian born and raised. At the age of seventeen, she left the comfort of the loving homes she grew up in to study abroad in the UK. From there, her life journey took a path she had never even envisioned. She has lived and called “home" the cities of Manchester, Barcelona, Paris and most recently and for the longest time, London.

Throughout the last year of her twenties, she has had the incredible chance to set foot on five different continents. It is from that year that most of her current photography originates. She rediscovered raw happiness - out of simple and pure things. The conscious effort was made to live in the moment and capture those passing instants with her camera.

In his urban journeys, he takes possession of the city and changes the urban landscape to fiction, where the imaginary translates to pictorial abstraction. We're proud to announce Gert Swillens has joined our amazing catalogue of artists...

Gert Swillens was born in Halle in 1968 and studied Image-Sound-Editing at the RITCS (School of Arts) in Brussels. He has been working as a cameraman for the VRT (the Flemish Radio and Television Broadcasting Organization) since 1993.

About 5 years ago, he suddenly became truly inspired by photography. Despite the gained experience as a cameraman, a completely new creative world was opening up to him. His self-taught discovery came through autodidactic books, online tutorials, workshops, etc… Most times Gert feels rather like an observer than a true photographer. Hence his true passion for everyday people in street photography (as well as concert and event photography and portraits). He often feels the urge to share what he sees and feels, through his eyes and through his photos. His shoots are never planned, but more like chance encounters.
